This website uses prettyphoto for its video, it seems to play mp4 and flv right from the popup.

Humm Simple Modal looks very interesting. I wonder about its compability with IE6. Most of overlay windows are too heavy for IE6 slow javascript engine. Thickbox on the other hand is the fastest one. It’s also included with WordPress so that’s why I choose to use it.

Phil, have you downloaded the updated version that uses shortcodes? that one works as intended, the other one is not to be used if there’s going to be more than one video in the page.

yep – it’s a bug alright. Not tied to a theme – all other scripts disabled. Too bad as this worked really well!
