Free textures: watercolor painting

watercolor01-pre

Here’s another texture freebie for you: a set of watercolor painting textures. Again, my son did this, is amazing what they learn at kindergarden! Last weekend I took him to an educational museum and he surprised the girl in charge of the painting workshop, my other son did it ok at painting but he won by far on the puzzles workshop. It’s amazing to see how two different skills operate.

Now download watercolor textures 01 and enjoy it. If you create something cool with it we will be more than happy to see it.

Free textures: red oil painting

Red oil painting textureHere’s a freebie I’d like to share with you all. My son was doing some painting with oils that he borrowed from me, and some of them were interesting for using them as textures for a grunge background or something like that.

Go ahead, download the free red oil painting texture pack an put them onto good use.

Update: I’ve found that my texture has been uploaded here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/didbygraham/3203170601/
Beware, because I provide you these stuff under a GPL license, which means that you can do anything with them, but Flickr has most of the images under a Creative Commons BY license, meaning that you have to credit whoever did the work (in this case, me) which is troublesome when you need to work. So, I encourage you to download my textures and stuff from my site since you will be getting them under an specific license. I will make sure that I add the corresponding license whenever I upload any new resources for you to download. BTW, what do you think about Creative Commons license?
