Hand lettering

These hand lettering signs are part of what is called “fileteado argentino”.  They are made by hand and these particular letterings have been painted on metal plates. There’s a wide variety of very interesting letterforms (even on a single piece) that, despite the fact that they are being painted by hand, are more based on typographic compositional forms than calligraphic (either pen or brush) writing.
